Protect and Balance Our Water Budget

• Modernize domestic well laws to prevent over-allocation of groundwater.

• Fund leak detection and repair for municipal and mutual domestic water systems.

• Limit harmful inter-basin water transfers.

• Strengthen the Office of the State Engineer with clear sustainability mandates.

• Expand rainwater harvesting incentives.

• Invest in forest thinning, watershed restoration, and soil health practices.

• Oppose water speculation, price gouging, and privatization.

Strengthen Agriculture and Land Stewardship

• Expand and improve the Cottage Food Law.

• Reform state meat inspection to support small producers.

• Support groundwater conservation easements.

• Increase funding for regenerative agriculture and soil health.

• Expand wildfire fuel reduction and ecological restoration.

• Protect public lands and oppose selling them.

Support Working Class Americans

• Support small, locally owned businesses over out-of-state corporations.

• Decreasing the cost of living for working-class New Mexicans 

• Invest in local food processing and value-added agriculture.

• Develop restoration and watershed rehabilitation industries.

• Expand ecosystem services as an economic driver.

• Fostering a business-friendly environment in Albuquerque, the East Mountains and Torrance County. 

• Expanding access to Trades & Apprenticeships within Torrance County. 

• Supporting Labor Unions 

• Strengthen local supply chains to keep money in our communities.

Restore Accountability in Government

• Support open primaries and independent redistricting.

• Enact term limits and strengthen ethics enforcement.

• Reform legislative rules to improve transparency.

• Audit major departments, including the Department of Transportation.

• Reform bail policies to protect communities while respecting due process.

Protect Individual Rights

• Protect Second Amendment rights.

• Protect women’s reproductive rights.

• Protect bodily autonomy for all individuals.

• Protect and expand collective bargaining rights.

Water security, healthy land, strong local economies, and accountable government are the foundation of a stable and prosperous District 22. I am running to protect our way of life and secure our future.
